In 2019, Kale Mamá was invited to host a “pop-up” booth at El Picnic, a restaurant in Aguadilla.
El Picnic used downed wood from Hurricane Maria and filled the assembled garden bed with soil.
When the kids arrived, they helped plant basil, lemongrass, thyme, beans, kale, cosmos for bees and milkweed for Monarchs.

We decorated up-cycled cans with old seed catalogs and arranged flowers and herbs to create beautiful bouquets.

Happy Earth Day! How are you celebrating?
